Big thanks to Emma from Greystone Farm for providing details of these walks. Greystone Farm is very popular among not just walkers but also ice-cream and food enthusiasts, as their Little Shed sells: “local, organic, non homogenised milk, locally made ice-cream (eat-now or take-home), free-range eggs, apple juice, jams, chocolate sheep, two-farmers crisps and a few more treats....”. The address is simply
Greystone Farm, Blockley GL56 9LN
The farm is creating a series of circular walks from Greystone Farm (opposite Northwick Business Park) for locals, tourists and my caravan site guests to use. The walks will be displayed on a noticeboard at our farm, on their website (www.greystonefarmcaravansite.co.uk) and in a leaflet available in The Little Farm Shed

Route 1 - in effect runs parallel to the Blockley to Broad Campden Road. Mainly downhill to Greystone Farm, uphill from Greystone Farm.
1.Walk along park road with the primary school on your LHS.
2.At the end of the houses, cross the road away from houses and climb over stile (LHS of road)
3.After about 5 metres, climb over the stile on your RHS into the field
4.Walk in the field, parallel to the road. Walk straight down the steep hill to the valley at the bottom.
5.Climb over the stile and walk straight up the steep hill out of the valley. The road will be on your RHS
6.At the top, climb the stile, leaving the field.
7.Once over the stile take the footpath on your RHS. This will lead you out of the field and onto the road.
8.Walk along the road towards, Hangmans Hall Farm.
9.On your RHS look for a wooden door in the wall. Go through the wooden door into the wood.
10.Turn left and follow the path through the wood.
11.(A)You’ll come to a concrete drive running steeply downhill. You can cross the drive and continue in the wood. Keep going through the wood, downhill and eventually you’ll come to a footpath sign saying ‘ice cream for sale’. At this point you are at the end of Greystone Farm drive.
Or
(B)At the concrete drive, instead of crossing the drive into the wood. Cross the drive and go into the field straight in front of you. The path runs across the field at the angle of 2 o’clock on a clockface. Find the stile on the RHS corner of the field, walk down the RHS of the second field, into the wood. Once in the wood you should see the footpath sign with ‘ice-cream for sale’. At this point you are at the end of Greystone Farm drive.
Or
(C) At the concrete drive, turn right and walk down the concrete drive. At the end climb over the stile into Northwick business park. Turn left, walking downhill with the business units on your RHS. Once at the bottom, don’t follow the road to the right but on LHS there is a footpath into the wood. Walk in the wood until you see the footpath sign with ‘ice-cream for sale’. At this point you are at the end of Greystone Farm drive.
Route 2 – flat. In effect takes you from Blockley, Draycot and Paxford and into the back of the farm.
1.Leave Blockley with the allotments/sports ground on your LHS. Walk along the pavement until ‘keepers cottage’ on your LHS.
2.Cross the road and walk onto the drive of the mill cottages.
3.Walk so the cottages on your LHS, at the end of the drive there is a stile next to the garages.
4.Cross the stile and into the field. Turn left and follow the footpath across the paddocks, over the bridge and keep going until you reach the road.
5.Once on the road (draycott on your RHS) turn left, cross road and through the kissing gate.
6.Follow footpath across the field to Draycott.
(A)At Kettles Barn you can take the footpath on your LHS which you follow until you cross the railway.
(B)Or at Kettles Barn, a footpath runs through the farmyard and eventually takes you through a tunnel under the railway.
7.Once over or under the railway, you need to follow the footpath so the Brickworks are on your LHS. You will meet the road between the brickworks level crossing and Paxford.
8.Once at the road, turn left and walk on the road for about 50 metres towards the level crossing.
9.On the RHS, on the bend of the road is a footpath stile.
10.Go over the stile into the field and turn right. Walk around the edge of the field (the footpath goes across the field but is little used).
11.Keep going until you see a small narrow bridge infront of you (a second wider bridge is to the right of the narrow bridge)
12.Go over the bridge and once in the field turn left.
13.Keep walking along the edge of the field until you reach the railway.
14.Cross the railway you are now on Greystone Farm
15.Keep walking along the fence line so that ‘Marlbrook’ is on LHS.
16.After three fields you’ll see the farmhouse and little farm shed, work you way across the fields to the farmhouse
17.If there are cows in the field, you may have to walk wide around them. They are used to people but can be curious.
